Galaxy Class Cutaway by IanKeenan Galaxy Class Cutaway by IanKeenan
Star Trek: Canon Universe Starship Cutaway #4.

The Galaxy Class Explorer from Star Trek: The Next Generation, also seen in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Star Trek: Generations. Illustrated here of course is the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-D.

Not all my own work, yet another scanned in from my battered "Star Trek Fact Files" which were trashed after a water leak at my home!
Again like the Defiant cutaway, the worst part was eliminating the page creases, which were not as bad on the Galaxy Class.

UPDATE:
Revised background, use Download to view full size.

Original Artwork: Star Trek Fact Files artists (modified by myself).
Background: Heavily modified by myself from the SFC3 "Vessel Library" background.

Interesting fact: none of the Galaxy class ever produced has made it through the 10-years-lifespan mark

yeah!In fact,here are some examples:
USS Phoenix NCC 22000:2 years(shortest lifespan, destroyed in Operation Return or something)
USS Yamato :5-6 years, considering she was finish 1-2 years before the Enterprise-D was build
USS Odyssey:7-8 years, considering the class entered service in 2365 or so
USS Enterprise:8 years
there's a few Galaxy-class officially haven't been destroyed yet(like the Venture),but, she haven't pass the 10 year limit and we didn't know what happened to her.
(and, the USS Galaxy presence at the Omega Battle Group:there's a lot of ship with the same name in a navy)

I know, right!?Like, they tried to potrait the Galaxys as the "brand new, long ranged, long age, tough as hell" class of ship.yet all of them didn't come close to our favorite Connie the Enterprise's age of 40.What a same, they could have gone further.

All done for 'Dramatical' purposes - i.e. reality goes straight out of the window!!

This ship is the heaviest one to bear the name Enterprise, unless you take the Enterprise-J into account; she probably weighs more.
