Unfortunately, the sizes in the Star Trek universe are absolutely not consistent, so it makes this comparison quite futile. I like Star Trek and the design of federation ships, but they very often exaggerate regarding to size and technical/military features of ships. They bend it too much to fit the story; Enterprise E eight years after D, you know?

You and I both! The times they change the visual size of a ship to fit the story line, i.e. for "dramatic" purposes.
Take Star Trek III: The Search for Spock for instance, we see the merchant vessel that Valkris contacts Kruge in his BoP, with info on the Genesis device, the BoP uncloaks and it literally dwarfs the Merchantman - YET OFFICIALLY the Merchantman is around 150m in length and the B'rel class BoP os only supposed to be 113m!
